Dr. Silver, MD, is a physician, a cancer survivor of about twenty-five years, and author of The New Reality of Cancer: The Science of Recovery. Through Cancer Expert MD he provides cancer education and consultations to patients and families around the world.
Training and Experience
Dr. Silver graduated from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed a three-year residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center, followed by a two-year cardiology fellowship at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, and became an interventional cardiologist.
He went on to train in integrative medicine, including:
- Integrative oncology
- Anti-aging medicine
- Ozone therapy
- Low-dose potentiated chemotherapy
- Autoimmune disease
- Lyme disease
He has practiced medicine for nearly fifty years and has taught physician-to-physician programs in integrative oncology internationally. He now educates people globally through consultation. Much of his life’s work is in his book.
His Own Cancer
In his own words:
I had lymphoma. Radiation from the cardiac procedures I performed was part of the cause. My protective apron did not cover my neck. The lymphoma was in my neck and across my mediastinum, the center of the chest between the lungs.
I never felt a lymph node in my neck. I did not feel well, so I ordered my own scans, and they found the lymphoma. That was about twenty-five years ago. Other factors included mercury amalgam fillings, infected root canals, cavitations in my jaw, hospital food, no vitamins, stress, and too little sleep.
After my diagnosis, I traveled to other countries to learn everything I could about the testing and therapies being used there. Much of what I learned is now in my book. I continue to be cancer-free at the time of this writing.
